What We Believe

Competency of the Individual Soul...

All people are created in God's image capable of dealing directly with God with direct access to the workings of the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Bible...

We affirm the Holy Bible as the inspired, inerrant Word of God to be the basis for our beliefs.

Salvation...

We believe salvation is received upon repentance of sin and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, who died for us.

Church Ordinances...

Ordinances of the church are Believers' Baptism and The Lord's Supper. Both are symbolic and do not have the power of salvation.

Baptism by immersion in water is symbolic of the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus, the believer's own death to sin, spiritual rebirth, and a changed life in Christ.

The Lord's Supper is symbolic of the broken body and shed blood of Christ. It is observed in remembrance of Christ's death on the cross for all sinners and is open to all believers.

The Church...

This is a congregation of baptized believers in Christ, voluntarily banded together to carry on the work of Christ. The church is autonomous and makes its decisions by vote of the eligible members with prayer and guidance from the Holy Spirit. This church subscribes to the teachings and doctrines of the Missionary Baptist Faith, and doctrinal statement of The Baptist Faith and Message as adopted by the Southern Baptist Convention in 1963, and as amended in 1998 and 2000.
